The Need:
I was tasked with researching emerging trends and evaluating new technologies within Learning & Development to identify opportunities to enhance existing methodologies and training offerings at Citi.Through comprehensive research and analysis, I identified tools with the potential to elevate training effectiveness, improve performance outcomes, and accelerate speed to market. I compiled these findings into a strategic overview and presented them to senior leadership, facilitating discussions that resulted in a subset of technologies being flagged for future consideration.
I then led the research and evaluation efforts for these selected technologies, sometimes serving as a primary liaison between Citi and external vendors.
My responsibilities included:
- Coordinating demo presentations and facilitating technical Q&A sessions.
- Ensuring all technologies met Citi’s stringent security and regulatory requirements, including onboarding and approval processes mandated for financial institutions.
- Collaborating with Business Information Security Officers (BISOs), Technical Information Security Officers (TISOs), internal developers, and vendor teams to ensure compliance across Citi’s global infrastructure.
- Overseeing the evaluation process to verify that all tools adhered to Citi’s technical, operational, and security standards, ensuring readiness for implementation in multiple countries.
- Facilitate employee onboarding of newly selected tools or technologies.

- Simulation and Adaptive learning tools such as Symtrain and Area9.
